Single: Studio Electrophonique – How Can I Love Anyone Else?

A lo-fi indie pop discovery emerging artist is “Studio Electrophonique”, a solo project by James Leespey. The project name comes from an old analogue recording studio in Sheffield, Lessley.

His latest single features a bright, fuzzy, and sweet omnichord tone, accompanied by a classic toy drum machine in a repetitive pattern. It intrigues me how simple this nostalgic tune is, which reminds me of a playground full of kids riding around and being young again.

James has a retro-indie aesthetic vibe when it comes to writing songs. It discusses why love can be tough without speaking the truth. Arguing something from small things, such as the falling leaves on the ground, to determine what he found.

He could be the next artist of “Hers”, which is an indie rock band from Liverpool. I’m pretty excited about what comes next in his career.
