The stunning, tender new track from the ever-consistent UK folk hero Rapt is a cover version of Natural Light by Casiotone For The Painful Alone.
Recorded live in one take sometime in April this year, the recording is intimate, understated and serene.
The original song feels comparatively jaunty compared to this version. It has really taken on a life of its own, having been reimagined by Start Track’s resident master songsmith, Jacob Ware. Owen Ashworth will undoubtedly be very proud.
Rapt is on tour next month. Catch him if you can, but be prepared to lose your breath.
