Metayouth is the project of Dakota Gilliland from Alabama, US. Dakota is a strong believer in DIY ethics and esthetics, and that is what drives his songwriting. He often hides sugary sweet pop melodies behind a wall of distortion, not as an accident, but as a creative choice.
I always loved fuzzy guitars. I was really into early Wavves music and this kind of brings me back to it. So happy that this single is coming our on new label Don’t Guitar Records run by my friend in Sweden. So excited for the future of this label.
