Valentine’s Day just passed and we recently put out an extraordinary compilation of songs. Love has been a central theme in music for as long as we can remember, and personally, I don’t mind it one bit. Despite not considering myself a very romantic person, there’s something about love stories in songs that I find incredibly captivating and enjoyable. Even if the story doesn’t have a happy ending, there’s a certain charm to melancholic love songs, like this one. Out of all the lyrics, I was particularly drawn to these four lines:
Like the moon without sunshine
Like surfing without the pine
Even with unlimited time
I would never make you mine.
One of the artists we featured on our Z Tapes compilation before, Lab Partner, is releasing a new album soon. The first single from the album has just been released and it is truly something special. The track is a beautiful blend of folk and melancholy, which creates a magical atmosphere and is sure to leave you enchanted. Personally, I couldn’t get enough of it and I’m sure you’ll love it too!
