‘Andromeda’ is a cavernous cut taken from Swedish band Pink Milk’s latest release. It owes a lot stylistically to all the usual dream pop reference points but manages to bring something fresh to the genre; there is a sinister Lynchian element to this track. It is equally nightmarish as it is dreamy. Booming yet distant drums thud under soaring vocals and icy synth lines.
From the band –
‘Hailing from Sweden, Pink Milk is a shoegaze duo drenched in reverb, making occult music inspired by the 80s. The band started out releasing music in 2015, quickly growing a reputation for their gloomy glittering sound and enslaving melodies, being praised by DIY, Wonderland, Kerrang! and Virgin Radio amongst others.‘
