Ethereal vocals are all over this song, along with some of the most delicate pedal steel guitars that will tug at the heartstrings of the most stone-hearted person.
Lyrically, it’s awe-inspiring and straightforward at times. Still, other lines will leave you in awe, “The desert sunset falling, Tracing your body, Tonight it’s not me.” Every line will lead you into the world this song has created.
From the first opening plucking of the guitar, this song will drag you in and pull you along, leaving you, by the end, a fumbling, heartbroken mess. In a good way, a great way. One that few songwriters are genuinely able to do.
