Nothing’s Working is a pop punk band from Atlanta, formed in 2024 by lifelong friends. Since then, they have released a couple of singles. Last Night, featuring Phantom Dan, is their latest offering, released a couple of days ago. The band shared a sentence describing the song:
“A punchy pop-punk song about a messy night, a rough morning, and wanting another shot at love despite your own screwups.”
When I was listening to this track, it took me back to a couple of years ago, when I was discovering music as a teenager, primarily because of my brother, who started a punk band in high school. I was a wannabe punker and listened to a lot of punk music, mostly skate punk or pop punk. This song reminded me exactly of those days when I was discovering the world of music. Energetic guitars, angsty vocals, and carefree lyrics. Somehow, my music taste is cycling back to my roots, and I enjoyed that. Thanks to this band, I could relive my teenage years.
