Thomas aka Michael B Thomas has shared with us this video with the following quote:
“I really tried to channel my inner George Harrison on ‘Relationship Advice’. I was massively into his ‘All Things Must Pass’ album at the time of writing, and was inspired by the introspectiveness of this record. I feel ‘Relationship Advice’ captures the essence of self-discovery and the inevitable passage of time, reflecting Harrison’s influence on my journey through the complexities of modern relationships and personal growth.”
I really want to emphasize how much I love the retro lo-fi rock sound of this song. It’s got such a strong George Harrison or Beatlesque vibe, and it feels incredibly refreshing compared to the other submissions we’ve been receiving lately. I’ve been a fan of Thomas’ music for a while now, and I have to say, the versatility and craftsmanship he’s showcasing with this new track are truly impressive. His music seems to be aligning more and more with my personal taste. I remember not resonating with some of his previous singles, but I’m really loving this new direction. The accompanying videos add another layer of depth to the song and complement it perfectly. They remind me a lot of the videography that our artist from Glasgow, Swiss Portrait, is known for. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this new song and I can’t wait to see what Thomas has in store for us next.
