“Nu England Nu Punk” is how New England-based band 40 Lashes describes themselves. The emo-infused pop punk band has just released “My Eyes,” their fourth single from their upcoming EP titled Cheer On. “My Eyes” – mixed by Brett Romnes (Oso Oso) and mastered by Mike Kalajin (All Time Low) – is an introspective doomed romance ballad with heavy guitars and killer drums. It’s raw, it’s real, and it’s rock and roll to its core.
40 Lashes is currently touring throughout the East Coast on a DIY run and can also be discovered on Spotify’s Emerging Pop Punk playlist. If you’re a fan of Tigers Jaw, Joyce Manor, or All American Rejects, it’s time to tap into 40 Lashes.
