I love receiving music in emails with stories like this one:
“My name’s Thomas, I’m a 26yr old architect out of Philadelphia, I just put out my debut single -Identical Yawns under the name Lounger 150. It’s the first song off my record Lacross Street, coming out October 28th. The album is a story about a bus stop, and grappling with nostalgia and coming of age etc. All of that classic stuff we find artists exploring these days. All while writing a tribute record to the indie rock favorites of my youth. I wanted to make a Bandcamp record that my 15yr old self would torture his loved ones with incesstantly haha.”
Thomas has been a fan of Z Tapes for a while, so this feels even more special. Somehow I always considered Z Tapes fans as pals, so sharing their music was always a pleasure.
This new song is definitely a throwback to late 90s, and early 00s music and I am enjoying it very much. Looking forward to the new album which should be out later this month.
You can pre-order the new album on Bandcamp. Recently I am discovering many great albums without physical release (especially, cassettes) and it makes me really sad, but I guess that is the “new normal”.
You can find more music on Bandcamp.
