“Super Corpse are four who like to play loudly.”
They are true to their statement. This album is full of loud fuzzy noise with great Spanish vocals. What a fun album this is. Energetic, noisy, experimental, melodic, Shoegaze mixed with noise rock and garage rock with elements of indie rock. It has been a while since I listened to such an interesting album coming from Spain. I heard a lot of similar artists coming from Latin America, but this one has the same energy and I love that. I am not understanding the lyrics, but it does not matter in this case. I am just enjoying the melodic fuzziness going to my ears. I recommend you put headphones on and blast it on. I bet these songs would sound amazing live. Maybe one day in Slovakia?
The album is so good and you have to listen to it from the beginning to the end. It is so much fun and I enjoyed it very much.
I reached out to the band and asked them our 3 Qs:
What inspired you to start making music and what keeps you making music?
We are two siblings writing music for this band, the main inspiration we took was probably the vast nature of the Universe and this Earth. There’s something deeply inspiring in feeling like a tiny dot in the middle of nothingness. The reason why we keep making music is because there’s beauty in finding new things every day. Reality is so rich that even a new kind of flower you didn’t know before could take your whole life to study deeply. Life is exciting, even more so when you explore it with music.
What was the most challenging thing in your music (artistic) path?
I think the most challenging thing is growing out of the early teenage phase where you just want to make music with your heart and realize there’s much more than only heart. Passion is great, but it comes at an age when you realize you need more than passion. Love is not enough!
What would you dream to do if anything was possible?
If anything was possible, I think we would, musically, go for a bigger ensemble, with 7 to 10 members, and do much more complex instrumentation.
