“After a string of releases touching on a soft rock-vibe with last year’s “Trash” and recent singles “Sunset” and “Moon”, Curiositi is back with their new offering “Miserable”. On this track, the duo keeps exploring a live sound featuring a twangy guitar lead, a piano-driven rhythm-track, and some vibraphone underlining the vintage vibe. The lyrics speak of the struggle between mind and matter, going for pleasure and passion even when it’s bordering self-harm.
Curiositi consists of Matilda Berggren and Emil Johansson. The couple has been on a constant exploration since their first releases in 2016, starting off with RnB and quiet storm-infused indie pop, more recently venturing into AOR-territory. The constant has always been high standard songwriting and undeniably strong vocal performances from Matilda Berggren.”
I am glad to share about great music from Europe, this time from Sweden, home of great indie pop. This new dreamy single is a perfect fit for your summer evening when it is still hot (at least here in Slovakia) and you want something to chill you down and go well with your favorite cold drink. What a nice indie pop track that should not go unnoticed.
