At Start-Track we like to invite our favourite artists to create guest playlists for us to share on our ever-expanding Spotify profile. Across the playlist’s 30 songs, these artists share music they’ve been listening to recently, as well as some which has shaped their own art and philosophies.
This latest playlist is from Oxford-via-Amsterdam songwriter Max Blansjaar, who we recently called an “indie pop perfectionist” and “a new voice at play” in our review for his “Red Tiger” single (read more of what what Start-Track has had to say about his recent work here).
30 Tracks Picked by Max Blansjaar:
Max’s playlist features artists who have been essentially to his journey, such as his producers Katie Von Schleicher and Nate Mendelsohn (Market), his academic enlightener Jennifer Walshe, and Beanie Tapes co-founder Julia-Sophie (you can check out our label feature with Beanie Tapes here).
He also includes artists who have been longtime influences on his writing and composition, such as Jeffrey Lewis, Darwin Deez, Beck, and Lou Reed, as well as newer favourites like Frog, Cheekface, and youbet.
There’s much to discover in Max’s playlist, both new and old, so please be sure to listen here, and subscribe to the Start-Track Spotify channel here.
