Singles: France, You’re on Your Own – Church Roof & Focus on Me & Omg, I Love U

With their debut single “Church Roof”, this act delivers a sharp, satirical take on Britain’s decline through interesting synths and robotic, almost detached vocals. The track leans heavily into experimental electronic sounds, embracing a sense of novelty with abrupt beat changes that are always quite unexpected. It’s an ambitious, offbeat introduction—one that hints at a project unafraid to challenge conventions while maintaining a wry sense of humor.

The duo has since dropped two more singles, “Omg, I Love U” and “Focus on Me” – the former track is quite fun and quirky. I definitely see and appreciate the growth both technically and lyrically from their initial single. “Focus on Me” has some impressive vocal work and stacking that still sticks to the duo’s penchant for their electronic sound but I love the backing vocals and how they add all the more texture to the track. This track contains an enjoyable combination of a folk-inspired but still ambient sound. Also, France, You’re on Your Own is a sick name.
