From Cherub Dream Records comes Memory Cube, the fantastic new track from Oakland, California’s Welcome Strawberry.
It’s a dreamy, psychedelic, shoegazey, technicolour tapestry of an indie rock song that recalls the work of MGMT, My Bloody Valentine and The Flaming Lips. It’s a wall of sound made up of swirling, glittering guitars, pounding bass, electro drums and airy, ethereal vocals, and it drips with artistic ambition and creative freedom.
The band staddle genres with aplomb, with this track sitting somewhere in-between indie, shoegaze, electro-pop and psychedelic rock.
The track is taken from their new album Desperate Flower, which is due to be released in June. Two different physical copies can be pre-ordered from Cherub Dream Records and à La Carte Records here.
