“A song about how the massive scale of the universe can be scary and overwhelming but also liberating. Life is a gift – use it how you please as long as you aren’t hurting others”
When I first heard this song, I was struck by its embodiment of the quintessential lo-fi rock sound. It masterfully combines classic songwriting elements with a distinct lo-fi atmosphere, accompanied by effortlessly cool slacker guitars. It’s a vibe that’s difficult to put into words, but it reminded me of the styles of artists like Max Gowan and Matthew Leger, both of whom I’ve previously had the pleasure of featuring on tapes through Z Tapes. Listening to this song elicits the same emotions I experience when I listen to the aforementioned artists. It’s no coincidence that Matthew hails from Austin, similar to this band. This marks only the third single release from the band, but I am already eagerly anticipating what they will create next, coming from the renowned music city.
