This jaunty Americana-infused rock n’ roll number is a wry tongue-in-cheek tune built on a solid foundation of early Rolling Stones-esque rhythm and blues and the sound of The Brian Jonestown Massacre at their retro-leaning peak.
Essentially a song about traditionalists, posers, gatekeepers, and spoilsports, it’s a little bit tragic but at the same time tons of fun – even if the narrator in the song can’t see it.
The upbeat, jangly, fuzzed-up slice of rock n’ roll from the Leeds-based quintet has garnered support from Emily Pilbeam on BBC Introducing, and it’s not hard to imagine why.
The limited edition translucent red 7″ double a-side singles sold out incredibly quickly, but fear not, the song is still available for digital purchase on their Bandcamp. Yee-haw!
