These Moments is the newest extremely lo-fi piece from see you soon – the artistic nom de plume of Dutch musician Thijs Gieben. It’s an intimate study of the feelings and sensations of coming home to a place and a person you love.
“Wave your hand / Please tell me you’re there / Freeze the time, these moments are rare / It’s not for everyone, I know it’s unfair / Curtains close. These moments, I swear.” Gieben sings as he follows up prior single In October with another meditative musing.
This time, his tender offering is complemented by some gorgeous, creamy slide guitar and atmospheric, ambient rain recordings, adding depth and texture to the composition.
Only his second single, the future looks bright for this singer/songwriter from the Netherlands.
