Seattle’s underexposed (lower-case intentional) released “asphalt desert”, their first single of 2026, last month. The mix of instruments is different from what I am used to listening to, but I have fallen in love with it. The softness of it altogether makes me feel giddy and happy as well as introspective. It’s a very relaxing track. Slightly reminds me of Plug In Stereo and other soft acoustic tracks of the 2010s with a lot of added individuality. I love how the acoustic guitar also adds a little bit of percussion to the song as well.
I enjoyed listening to it as I was just waking up. It helped get me focused on writing this review while listening to it several times in a row. I plan on listening to their other tracks as well and hopefully buying a couple or even a few on Bandcamp to support underexposed overall as a musician.
