Strange Pilgrim returns with, “Late Night” the first single from their second album Too Bright Planet.
Written by Josh Barnhart, the song begins with a lightly strummed acoustic before kicking into a dreamy haze of a song pulled along by the band with some great little touches on the guitars.
Lyrically expansive and sung hauntingly as the band swells all around building tension until it’s unleashed in the form of an immaculate guitar solo at the end.
It’s truly a unique sound they’ve got going on here somewhere between psych rock and dream pop, “My minds still somewhere else” Josh sings and this song will take you there with him and the band.
Keep an eye out for the band touring the U.S. West Coast as I’m sure this and the band’s other songs will truly take off in a live setting.
