“Feeling Down” is the lead single from soft siren’s upcoming debut album, 4AM, which will be out on Oct. 23, 2026. The track pairs ethereal, soulful vocals with gritty warmth. The track has groovy neo-psychedelic guitars and a hazy dream-pop sound that feels straight out of the early 2000s.
The song explores ego, escapism, and the realization that sometimes the thing you’re running from is actually yourself. The song has already started to pick up momentum online; the band shared a teaser on TikTok that reached over 750k views. The release will be accompanied by an official music video, and the band is gearing up to release their first full-length album, “4AM”.
soft siren is an emerging dream-pop band formed in Los Angeles by CASHFORGOLD, Sidewalks and Skeletons, and Michael Coe, drawing their inspiration from artists like Cocteau Twins, Mazzy Star, and Lana Del Rey.
“Feeling Down” started with a guitar and drum that made me sway, followed by siren-like (no pun intended) vocals provided by CASHFORGOLD.
Never ending street
Won’t you take me home
Went to hell on ego trip
And found myself at the back door
The visuals accompanied by her eerily comforting vocals made the bridge hit even harder during my first listen.
I see angels
But can’t find the meaning
When I’m feeling down
Hear your voice
Ring inside of my head
When I’m feeling down
The song made me want to twirl around my room with my corded headphones, swaying to the music and to the warmth of the ‘70s psychedelia. I certainly know what I’ll be doing on Oct. 23rd!
