Myranda Snyder is an arts and humanities graduate, originally from Los Angeles and Phoenix, currently in Portland, Oregon. This is a single released this spring. The artist’s influences include such musicians as Grouper, Angel Olsen, Red House Painters, and others. Myranda’s vocals can also be heard in the records of the band Ego Tripping, the previous contribution.
This one is a short piece, yet captivating and atmospheric, something like a short statement. Sometimes the guitar sounds like a piano, and the voice sounds as if it was a musical instrument. The music itself is quite soothing and dreamy — something like a light sleep among flowers or a sentimental sunset/sunrise.
Speaking of associations, the song can also remind of Mazzy Star or Zelienople. Quiet, but also flying to the infinities of space.
There are also many other tracks of different vibes, sometimes in the same style on Myranda’s Bandcamp page, and I’d recommend listening to them as well.
