Single: ji! – bluetaste

This two-minute-and-nineteen-second track drifts between vague storytelling – dependent on the description of: “ a song about not knowing where to go even though you have so many options, also about power aid” – and an enjoyable rhythm, built on steady guitar work that gives it a possible rock edge. The concept—being lost despite endless options, with an odd nod to Powerade—never fully emerges in the mix, as the lyrics are hard to make out, or I missed the intention of having the vocals indiscernible. Still, there’s a certain charm in its muted execution.

On a second listen, the rhythm stands out as the song’s most enjoyable element, carrying the track even when the vocal clarity falls short. Occasional humming adds a softer layer, giving it a casual, almost offhand feel. It’s an unusual but quietly catchy listen that could grow on the listener.
