Jack Kilburns’ latest single ‘Im Always Scared’ is a real thing of beauty from the opening soft drum roll to the last pull of the beautifully arranged strings.
Jacks voice is hauntingly distorted throughout, adding to the emotion that will drag you down and in his to world of darkness and despair.
‘I call out your name when I feel lost’ Feeling lost is a feeling that I’m sure a lot of us have felt at sometime especially now as the dark nights draw in, well here Jack has given us a perfect soundtrack for just that time.
I can almost imagine myself walking home alone in the rain, this coming through the headphones, and I know I’m not alone anymore.
The strings need a special mention as well, pulling us along, rising, and falling throughout the song before bringing us to the closing bars, embracing us in a warm, gentle hug, and safe at last.
