“Hāziale is a dream/bedroom pop music project which takes shape during the confinement of 2020, where for lack of being able to leave one’s home, artistic expression quickly becomes the only means of escape. Hāziale is the product of this musical introspection, an alter ego laying the foundation for its cathartic space in which steamy walks and frenetic rhythms release ailments. The tracks were then mixed and mastered by myself. The project is entirely “home made”. In September and October 2022, the musical aesthetic was made concrete with the release of two singles entitled Frame and Billy. These same compositions highlighted both the lo-fi and indie artistic direction, but also, the DIY creative process of the project. This musical project draws its inspiration from old VHS, cameras from the 90s-2000s, cathode ray televisions and everything that can refer to a bygone era evoking the childhood of 90s kids.”
I’m excited to share with you the latest single called “Unknown Face” along with its music video. The song has a captivating indie/lo-fi rock vibe with clean and edgy guitar riffs blending seamlessly with uplifting synthesizers and soulful vocals. As I listened to the song repeatedly, it evoked memories of the music I used to enjoy years ago when Z Tapes was just emerging, with its blend of bedroom pop, a hint of post-punk influence, and dream pop inspiration. The song’s catchy melody stays with you long after you’ve finished listening. The accompanying video beautifully complements the dreamy melody, adding an extra layer of depth. It transports me to a moment of freedom, imagining myself on a beach, racing toward the ocean with a surfboard in hand, ready to ride the chilly waves of the Atlantic. This song perfectly captures that feeling.
