Lately, I’ve been immersing myself in a lot of folk-rock songs with alt-country vibes, and I’ve really been enjoying this unique combination. It’s not just the American alt-country artists that are resonating with me, but Contra, in particular, has captured my attention. Its lo-fi slacker-ish vibe sets the perfect atmosphere, especially with the warm spring weather. I can easily imagine gathering with friends outdoors, setting up a campfire, playing this song on speakers, and simply enjoying each other’s company.
