Single: Conflict at Serenity Pools – Bosun

“Bosun is the first single off of EP LEMON FICTION, which comes out in full May 8th. New territory for CASP, the EP was written primarily on acoustic guitar (to start) with an idea of exploring current feelings and themes in CASP’s life and projecting them onto somewhat fictional scenarios. Bosun makes use of these thematic points, rendering a story about wondering where someone else is, or where they themselves are, echoing both fiction and real feelings of escapism, longing, wondering and wandering.”

I’ve been thoroughly enjoying the music produced by CASP lately, and to my delight, they have just released a brand-new single that has me feeling a sense of nostalgia for the indie rock scene of the 90s. The acoustic guitar in particular has really struck a chord with me, reminding me of the musical stylings of some of my favorite bands from that era. Despite the throwback feel, the song is still imbued with the signature CASP sound that I’ve come to love, and I am eagerly anticipating the release of their upcoming EP. I was thrilled to learn that the EP will also be available on cassette, which adds an extra layer of excitement to the whole experience.
