Love at first sight, thanks to the title, Gosh!. Interest piqued, I was expecting maybe a ‘50s throwback from this three-piece, but instead we find ourselves in a concise indie rock paradise from the first strum of the guitar, only to be reinforced in the musical interlude section: jangly, twangy guitars give Gosh! its personality. I even hear a little bit of The Clean’s The Blue in Bleak Streak’s jangle.
Lyrics not available to read along with, and for the life of me, I honestly can’t figure out what they’re singing about, but the mix of male and female voices and indecipherable words is doubtlessly charming my socks off. Excluding the 10-second fade out, the song is about 1m15s, so, by gosh, it’s definitely worth a quick listen!
