Single: baby hollis – it’s sweet

It’s Sweet is a loveable force to be reckoned with.

The new tune from Atlanta-based musician baby hollis (aka Hollis Griffin) is a shimmering, energetic, noisy, wry indie pop tune.

Full of knowing lyrical references (“existential crisis on aisle four, doing all my best overthinking / in fifty years do you think you’ll still like me? / watching all the same dumb shit on TV”), extremely catchy, expertly-crafted melodic moments, and a distinct sonic combination of shoegaze noise and pop sensibility, it leaves quite the instantaneous impression.

With a vocal that reminds us of a combination of Kate Bush and Tall Child and music that sounds like Dinosaur Jr collaborating with Best Coast, It’s Sweet is a loveable force to be reckoned with.
