Always nice to help push new releases from our Start-Track artists. Beach Vacation has just dropped “No Contact”, another airy track following a series of singles that – along with a tour last fall – have kept the band busy over the past year and change.
“No Contact” brings the band’s lush sonic paintings back in full force, making you pine for warm sunsets along the shore with the rush of the tide in your ears. Think very early New Order jamming along the Puget Sound, with deep bass, metronome-steady drums, and Tabor Rupp’s voice awash with reverb. His words may get lost in the waves, but they still transfer feelings from Tabor’s heart to yours.
This single plays a bit slower and mellower than the two released last year, “Tearing Away” and “Heal Again”. But it still takes you away to a place where you can tap into your emotions, if you so choose. You can also just sit and let the music and the atmosphere carry you. Regardless, no one will have the opportunity to bother you. You’ll have the sounds of Beach Vacation’s glistening guitars in your ears.
