The Pacific Northwest is rich in many things – breathtaking scenery, beautiful weather, and a close-knit community, to name a few – but it’s worth noting that the music scene of the PNW is full of artists and bands producing wonderful music. A Lot of Water is one such band, and the release of their latest single, “Heavy Door,” promises that their future is bright. This shimmering, spacey dream-pop track is hazy and warm, perfect for spinning during the height of summer heat. The lyrics of “Heavy Door” are poetic and sentimental, with lines such as “I would like to be the tide / Coming up around your ankle / Do you rest in the same sand / Where you used to play?” tugging at the listener’s heartstrings. A Lot of Water paints a beautiful picture of love and longing through this song – let their wash of sound carry your heart out with the tide.
