Album: The Swims – Maud’s Variety

All I know about this band is the fact that they are from Sarnia, Ontario and they make surfy indie rock. Sometimes is enough, because then you do not waste time by reading and rather start listening. I encourage you to do the same. Just press the play and get on some surfy vibes. It is not summer, but we can still get in the mood to listen to laid-back slacker melodies that go better with a cold drink that a hot tea. I am enjoying the guitar sounds a lot in these songs; it feels like riding a wave on a surfboard. Some songs remind me of Tame Impala, but they are 100% better. I also really enjoyed the random voice recordings in the song. It creates a nice palette of sounds you can find in this album. Definitely start with the first track and then slowly work up through the album up to the end. You will enjoy the ride.

If I had to pick, my favorite track would be definitely Everything You Used to Know.
