‘Thanks for all the fishes’ is an unusual but nevertheless outstanding song by singer Brianna Carmel.
Taking on a solo route with this song, Brianna Carmel stuns with their angst-filled, ukulele-studded, folkesque latest single.
The song has an almost therapeutic quality to it; with the Californian singer’s strong and shouty vocals, it details issues with mental health and suicidal thoughts, as so expertly demonstrated in the heart-wrenching lyric “I feel like my life’s not worth living,” and helps those struggling to feel less alone in this scary and often times confusing world.
‘Thanks for all the fishes’ is a song that encompasses the loneliness and rage that issues with your mental health bring about and serves as a reminder that no matter what’s going on, there’s always someone there to listen, so reach out, speak up, and listen in to Carmel’s fantastic project.
