At Start-Track we like to invite our favourite artists to create guest playlists for us to share on our ever-expanding Spotify profile. Across the playlist’s 30 songs, these artists share music they’ve been listening to recently, as well as some which have shaped their own art and philosophies.
This new playlist is from Travis Shosha, the man behind Rantipole. Having written for top outlets like Bandcamp Daily, Pitchfork, The Line of Best Fit, The Alternative, Post-Trash, Paper Magazine, and Merry-Go-Round Mag, Shosha recently launched Rantipole Zine. The debut issue of this gorgeous limited-edition print magazine features thoughtful and unique features and reviews from a brilliant writing team, where honest-to-goodness critical analysis is given to artists like Curling, Glass Beach, Frog, Nagakumo, Snotnose Saleem, among others.
More recently, Shosha has also turned his skills to the promotion of artists as musically different as Chicago’s excellently frenetic Indie Punk trio Bandy, and the Ambient bardic Folk of RAPT.
