Dismissed The latest single from Florida rock band The Gangly Youth doesn’t mess about, a chorus of vocals greets you pushed along by the thunderous drums until the crescendo reaches an early climax. Then the jangly riff begins pulling you in even further. Then the ride is off like a roller coaster of emotions.
I can’t speak highly enough of the drumming on this, definitely one for the air drummers amongst us. That is of course you’ve not got your arms aloft singing along to lyrics, which deserve to be sung loudly. Wake the neighbour’s style. My only complaint is that it’s only two and a half minutes long, I wanted more, needed more. Which I suppose is a good thing for them as I’m now delving deeper into their earlier stuff, all great by the way.
