Album: i talk about you all the time – sincerest apologies, but my eyes they cannot beg

“Have you ever been somewhere really high up, looked down, and had the sudden urge to jump? This feeling is called ‘the call of the void’, or ‘l’appel du vide’, as the term originated in France. Some people feel it, some don’t. Most people ignore it, but not everyone does. I’ve had my struggles, but I’m grateful for being here today as one of the former, not the latter. But we can’t all be so lucky.”

I recently received a quote for the single “l’appel du vide,” but I’ve decided to talk about the full album that includes this song. The album is a mesmerizing blend of dreamy lo-fi and slowcore, creating a strong and captivating atmosphere. I’ve found myself really drawn to this type of slowcore music lately; it has a melancholic feel with a touch of sadness, but its overall atmosphere is simply incredible. Whenever I listen to this album, I feel like I’m being transported to an unknown world where I can forget about everything around me. While there are many artists creating music in this genre, this particular album has truly captured my attention. It has become the soundtrack for my moody days, offering solace when everything else feels overwhelming. I can lose myself in it for hours on end.
