Thanks to our great writer, John Brouk, we have covered Teenage Tom Petty’s previous album on our blog. Read it here:
I recently came across the debut single from the upcoming third album by Teenage Tom Petties, which is set to be released in August 2024 under the labels Repeating Cloud and Safe Suburban Home. The single is an energetic, power-packed, lo-fi rock track that immediately catches your attention and gets you hooked with its infectious melody. I’m really drawn to the raw, fuzzy guitar sound in the song, and the vocals have a nostalgic ’90s feel that adds to its charm. I’m eagerly anticipating the release of the full album, and if it lives up to the standard set by the last album and this impressive single, I’m confident it’s going to be a remarkable record.
Here is a little quote about the new single from singer, and guitarist Tom Brown:
“It actually began as a joke. I used to dabble in the Weezer forums from time to time and there was a meme about this fictional song ‘Kiss Me In Seattle’. As an experiment, I thought I’d write the song. What came out was more Fountains Of Wayne than Weezer, which is probably for the best. But I liked that it told this fully-formed story about a tour gone wrong.”
