Stillmotion were active during the 90s, with this recording coming from around ‘92. They operated just outside Rochester, NY, and had an undeniably unique approach to the typical shoegaze blueprint of the time. Luckily for fans of the genre, their unfinished record from around 30 years ago (!) is due to see the light of day soon – allegedly due to some keen, email-based detective work from fans.
‘Inasmuch’ is a mesmerising piece of music that evokes everything from classic MBV to the The Stone Roses. There are traces of elements of their sound that can be found in the more mellow moments of the likes of outfits such as Basement and Title Fight.
