We have shared Stillblue’s music before and Enrique of Stillblue share a quote about this newest single:
“Love is something that I’ve always wanted to get right. I always told myself I could compromise in different aspects of my life, but I would never compromise on love. Growing up, I always wondered how you’d know when you found the right person, but it was pretty obvious to me when I met Isabel. This song is something I wrote right after I asked her to marry me, and realized that the purest love I’ve felt came with no fanfare and settled in my heart quietly but familiarly. This song is about the way our love feels simpler and truer than I could have ever imagined. It’s a reflection on all the poems I wrote as a kid, nights I stayed awake thinking about love, and songs I wrote for someone that didn’t match the feeling in my heart yet. It’s a realization that all of it was for Isabel, even though I didn’t know it yet.”
The concept of love has always been a universally relatable theme, and I believe it will never cease to captivate us because there are countless stories waiting to be shared. I recently came across a beautiful melancholic folk-rock ballad that deeply resonated with me. Its heartwarming melody made it effortless to connect with the music on a profound level. I was particularly enchanted by the seamless transition of the melody from the piano to the guitars, which seemed to touch my innermost being. Closing my eyes, I could allow the music to transport me to another realm. I envisioned myself driving with the windows down, feeling the cool breeze of a late evening, the radiant sunset casting a warm glow, and eagerly embracing the unknown future. This song has truly left an indelible impression on me, and I found immense joy in listening to it.
