Although they’ve just released their first album, Ticking Haze, Shapes Like People have no intention of slowing down going into 2026. Their new record, Under The Rainbow, is due out next April, but as a special end-of-year delight, they have released the title track for your enjoyment.
The Kent-based husband-wife duo of Carl and Katy Mann bring every ounce of jangle-pop goodness to “Under The Rainbow”. According to Carl, the new song came together quickly: “Everything worked straight away. The final track is pretty much as the demo was, very much a case of ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.’” The strength of the songwriting absolutely shines, as Carl’s and Katy’s voices harmonize beautifully over the sparkling guitars.
