‘Glimmer’ is a glorious example of rollicking shoegaze that wears the band’s influences proudly. SGO employ woozy, screeching guitars, blissed out vocals and a tight and snappy rhythm section to boot. I particularly enjoyed the goth-pop shine to the production and the direct, no-nonsense approach – particularly noticeable in the sharp, one word chorus.
