If you have been following my writings, you know I have been enjoying debut singles or albums and covering upcoming artists. It always felt like tasting a new recipe for the first time, and when it tastes good, I feel satisfaction. This is the debut single for the band/music project Scary Stories To Tell Your Therapist, from Columbus, Ohio. The name itself is so cool. I really enjoy creative band names. It is an emo/screamo track that will catch you with emotional vocals that switch between a softer emo style and heavier screamo.
I really enjoyed the punchy drums and overall classic emo feel that I have been searching for over the past months. Emo is becoming my favorite genre to cover right now. I can always relate to emotive energy, great guitar riffs, and a captivating overall energy. I wished I had lyrics here so I could explore them in full. I am still sometimes struggling to understand, especially the screamo parts, but that is expected.
Overall, this is an excellent debut single, and I am intrigued to listen to more from this artist. There is a lot of potential in this, and I am looking forward to what the artist will make next. Also, if you want to follow the artist, there is a cool Reel featuring the song.
