‘Please’ is Nymphlord’s first release of 2024. The single is a sweetly crafted indie-pop song, with resemblance to the softer side of Ian Sweet, with the exhilarating crash of crescendos of Lucy Dacus. The song hangs off the chorus, with Nymphlord pleading, “please” over and over again, harmonies cascading over the dusty instrumentation.
Along with the single comes a music video; Nymphlord walks through a sun blazed estuary, before breaking into a run, spinning at the climax of the track. It is a wonderful accompaniment to ‘Please’, both song and video having a sense of wonderment, the energies of which compliment each other perfectly.
For those thoughtful evenings at the end of summer, Nymplord’s ‘Please’, is the moment for such.
