It’s been a quarter of a century since Nansy was last seen on the indie scene in Oslo, yet, miraculously, they’re back with a new song, a forthcoming debut album and live shows in 2025/2026.
Technically, their first-ever single, In Your Eyes, is a jaunty sing-along indie pop tune that reminds us of The Cardigans, The Concretes, The Sundays, and Sondre Lechre.
The acoustic rhythms and twinkly, twee flourishes combined with the whimsical sunshiney vocals are the perfect soundtrack to the summer.
It’s easy to listen to and so nostalgic sounding (and feeling) that it almost seems like it should’ve come out 20 years ago. It’s great to have them back, and we can’t wait to hear the full album!
