Single: Madam Sad – 2.7 mo.Narcissism

“Narcissism,” from the album HRT Vocal Transition, is a stunning act of sonic vulnerability—an experimental folk track that documents a deeply personal journey with sheer creativity. The hollow, open feel of the instrumentals lets every ambient sound and field recording breathe, giving space for reflection and emotional resonance. I love how chaos is used with intention here—the clinking dishes, the cut-and-paste trumpet, it all feels beautifully handmade and truly organic. It’s music with feeling, and more importantly, with intention. Intention is what makes music beautiful.

What moves me most is how this track uses music to achieve a process that often goes unheard of in music—literal vocal change and the emotional shift. “Narcissism” is a single about self-examination, and the lo-fi, slowcore atmosphere lets the storytelling shine through. It’s both experimental and emotionally grounded—doing a lot with barebones, and doing it honestly. Vulnerability isn’t just present, it’s embedded in the sound.
