Lunar Isles is easily becoming one of my favorite artists in the shoegaze adjacent genre. As someone who has only scratched the surface of the tip of the iceberg in this specific genre pool, I feel confident in saying that Evergreen opened up a portal in my mind to enjoying music in an entirely different way.
Evergreen, the latest single released from Lunar Isles, is full of uplifting chords and ethereal vocals that make you feel as though you’re gonna be okay–no matter what happens.
When I put this track on, I picture myself taking an evening walk through the autumn woods with my soulmate, holding hands and feeling that warmth in my core that everything is as it should be. You know when you stare into someone’s eyes, and it seems like you could lose yourself in the depths of the blues and greens, forever lost? That’s where this track brings me.
Closer to the end of the track, that feeling envelopes me, and it’s like I could melt right into it, taken by the sound completely. Lunar Isles has taken over my life for the moment,t so don’t mind me as I consume their entire discography over the next few days.
