Single: feeling it fearing it – leg tat

feeling it fearing it is added to my ever-growing list of new-to-me bands that I need to do a deeper dive into. The list is exclusive, though the length of it may seem to contradict that fact at first glance. Based in northwest Arkansas, feeling it fears it is a solo project, meaning he records, mixes, and masters in a “DIY” format (my absolute favorite). If you know anything about me, you know my number one favorite scene is DIY and always will be.

leg tat was released on April 18, and is a perfect coming-of-age song for my 28-year-old ears; being employed in the artistic sphere, I’m constantly bogged down by self-intrusive thoughts and worries of never reaching my goals, disappointing myself and those closest to me. It’s like I feel selfish for pursuing what I love because it DOES take so much effort and time, and “success” is so subjective. Leg tat does a great job at transmuting that feeling into a gorgeous anthem.

Mellow and cozy vocals make this song even more intimate and personal alongside the melodious electric guitar. These lyrics are golden and hit me right in the chest: “Every time I go back to my hometown, I’m reminded of all the folks I let down”.

I’m keeping a close eye on feeling it fearing it and can’t wait to hear even more. Stream leg tat now on Apple Music, Spotify, and more. Remember to follow them on Instagram @feelingitfearingit and send support if you jive with the tunes!
