Levi Taschuk is a singer/songwriter and jazz musician out of Vancouver, Canada. Taschuk released their debut EP last February, and now, with “Benefit of the Doubt” as the lead single, they’ve announced their first full length album to release in September 2026, to be titled Dyna Divest.
“Benefit of the Doubt” is a soft, smooth jazz song, featuring slow, beautiful melodies on a grand piano and a drum rhythm that perfectly paces the track. The vocals are airy and haunting, reminiscent of Pink Floyd in “Comfortably Numb” as they repeatedly echo the chorus and song title.
While the saxophone comes in and elevates the song between the chorus and second verse, it is really the highlight in the solo through the final minute of the song. It creates an amazing ambiance with the continued delicate rhythm of the drums and cymbals easing the flow of the song.
