“Interstate” is Jacob Pool’s debut single, a love song to growing up as an outcast in the suburbs. Late night drives, getting lost in the woods with friends, dreaming of the future. Nostalgic early-2000’s acoustic guitar riffs blend with hard-hitting drums, dreamy pianos, synths, and futuristic vocals. Jacob Pool’s influences range from Elliott Smith, Kurt Cobain and Sheryl Crow to Dominic Fike, Frank Ocean and Alex G. “Interstate” is the first chapter in Jacob Pool’s universe, and there is much more coming soon.
Jacob is debuting with a great indie folk pop single that is very catchy and kind of makes a perfect need for my summer music sprint. Maybe more music will come my way in the next months, but I will be looking for some different vibes. I enjoy this fresh yet nostalgic approach towards indie pop. I am really looking forward to what this artist will bring next. I heard Jacob is working on new music I am looking forward to checking it in the future.
