Introducing: Jack Landess – Revealer & 3 Qs

“Jack Landess hails from Springfield, Ohio but currently lives in Nashville and attends Belmont University.

After amassing over 1 million streams across platforms on his debut project, Jack was ready to begin working on his sophomore record. Set to release in 2023, Revealer retains the dreamy and sonic textures that Mocean carried while experimenting with grittier guitar tones and memorable riffs.”

I have written about Jack’s music recently and I am glad to bring you this fresh EP. You can read a little bit of the story about the EP in our previous post.

Here is a small bio you can find on Bandcamp:

“The second piece in Jack’s duology EP project, Revealer describes a desolate wasteland in which a character is roaming trying to find their way out. While this project retains many of the dreamy and washed-out qualities that Mocean carried, it adds a bit of grit and drive to the mix. Enjoy!”

The EP is playful, energetic dreamy indie pop with some catchy vibes. The summer is over (at least in this part of the world), but this is bringing some nice summer vibes.

I really enjoyed the guitars and the vocals in these songs. Such a nice atmosphere they are creating and I bet these songs will catch the attention of a broader audience. Every song is special and has its own mood and you can find there your favorites for sure.

Listen to these songs, enjoy your days, and just be happy.

I reached out to Jack and asked him our 3 Qs.

What inspired you to start making music and what keeps you making music?

Well, I first got my laptop right before Covid hit so that gave me a bunch of time to record demos and figure out how the whole process worked during my junior year of high school. I just took sounds from my favorite artists and tried to replicate them.

What was the most challenging thing in your music (artistic) path?

The hardest thing for this second EP was trying to connect the sound from the last record to this but also expanding on it to keep old listeners but also to bring in new ones as well

What would you dream to do if anything was possible?

I’ve always wanted to work on a Film Score. I think having a part in a massive project like that would be so cool.
